Can SARMS increase height?
Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators (SARMs) provide many benefits, from increasing muscle mass and strength to providing more energy in training. One SARM, MK-677, can also increase height by a few centimeters. However, this benefit does not apply to everyone.
Why can’t SARMs increase height for everyone?
Growth plates, which are found in our bones, determine our height. MK-677 can increase height in individuals whose growth plates are open. If a person’s growth plate is already closed, they cannot grow any taller, even if they take a SARM like MK-677.
Girls’ growth plates typically close at 13 to 16 years old, while boys’ growth plates usually close at 18 to 22 years old.
However, these numbers are not definite; the only way to know for sure is if to have an x-ray. Unfortunately, if you’re past 25 years old, taking MK-677 may not help increase your height.
What does the evidence say?
A study showed that MK-677 can increase the height of people whose growth plates are not closed yet.
The increased amount of growth hormone (GH) and growth factor (IQF-1) that comes from MK-677 takes a while to build up. This means you’re not going to see instant results. It may take about 3 to 6 months to see any height difference when taking MK-677.
Consult your doctor for more information about MK-677.
